Aluminum wire production mainly includes: billet manufacturing; rolled wire rod; Aluminium hot rolling extrusion wire rod; wire drawing; bare wire stranding; electrical round aluminum wire; overhead transmission high-strength aluminum wire and aluminum stranded wire;
The wire made of aluminum is aluminum wire, and the wire made of aluminum alloy is aluminum alloy wire, which is generally called aluminum wire.
Generally, the cross-section of the wire is circular, which is called a round wire. There are also non-circular cross-sections, such as rectangular cross-sections, called flat wires. There are also special-shaped cross-sections, such as zipper wires.
Usually, the diameter of the wire is less than Φ6 mm, but there is no clear regulation. For example, the width×height of the steel/aluminum/aluminum alloy contact wire is 18 mm×18 mm. Because coiling is required, the thicker the cross-section of the wire, the more laborious the coiling, and the diameter of the coil or bundle must also be increased. Because of the need for handling, storage and handling, the length of each reel or bundle of wires is limited. When the length is not enough, the head and tail of the two bundles of wires can be butt-connected, which is called butt welding or crimping.
Usually, the wire rod is only an intermediate product and needs to be processed further before it becomes a valuable product. E.g:
① Nails, such as rivets, screws, welding rods, etc.
② Woven fabrics, such as mesh screen, filter cloth, braided thread, etc.
③Wire and cable, such as aluminum stranded wire, enameled wire, plastic covered wire, conductive core of power cable, etc.
