Aluminum silicon welding wire rod ER4043

It is an aluminum alloy electrode with an aluminum-silicon alloy as the welding core and a salt-based coating. Good resistance to thermal cracking, and the weld has certain mechanical properties. Its versatility is not easy to form cracks on aluminum alloys with poor weldability. DC power supply is used, the electrodes are connected directly, and short arc welding is used. The arc stability is slightly worse and the spatter is larger.
It is a 5% silicon alloy welding wire, suitable for welding cast aluminum alloys. Commonly used for welding aluminum plate, aluminum silicon casting, general aluminum alloy, wrought aluminum, and hard aluminum. It is not suitable for welding aluminum-magnesium alloy.
Welding current: 80-150A
Uses: ships, locomotives, chemicals, food, sports equipment, molds, furniture, containers, containers, etc.

Composition: Si = 4.5-6.0%; Fe≤0.8%; Al balance.
Note: Melting point is 573-625 ℃, good fluidity, strong resistance to thermal cracking, but insufficient ductility. Due to the high silicon content, when used in the welding of high magnesium alloys, brittle Mg2Si is easily generated in the weld, which reduces the plasticity and corrosion resistance of the joint. In addition, the color of the weld surface is dark, and it is different from the base material after anodizing.
It is used as a filler for argon arc welding and gas welding of aluminum alloy workpieces and castings other than aluminum-magnesium alloys. Commonly used for welding of 600 series aluminum alloys such as 6061, 3000 series and 2000 series aluminum alloys and cast aluminum. Widely used in railway locomotive, chemical, food and other industries.
